Simplifying images for prepress
Final printed images should have all layers and alpha channels removed for them to prevent complications during the RIPping process.
step one: Make a copy of your finished image with multiple layers and/or alpha channels
step two: From the copy, collapse all layers into one by flattening your image using the layers palette menu
step three: Remove all alpha channels from the channels palette
tip: Performing a “Save As” allows you to remove layers and Alpha channel on the fly, by unchecking “Layers” and “Alpha channels” in the dialog window.
